SCHOOLING UPDATES

We noticed that the two boys are having difficulty on their schedule for the past two weeks now. So, hubby and I agreed to change their school service batch at dismissal time.

Since last Monday, they're on the first batch trip instead of the second batch. The new schedule allows them now in having more time to study, rest and sleep. Little girl remains on the second batch trip and Ate is with her until dismissal time. The poor little girl is the last one to arrive home :(.

With the help of everyone, we are hoping that the new schedule will work out on all of us for the entire school year.

This photo was taken just a minute ago when I asked them to give me one good photo shot for my blog post :)...

MOMMY MOMENTS - SPORTS

My boys are into basketball, swimming and running :)...

Last summer, my two boys have completed their intro level in Milo's Basketball Efficiency Training. The coaches taught them really well because their skills in playing basketball have improved.

One of the activities that the boys enjoyed most during summer is swimming. Kuya learned how to swim on his own even though he does not have any formal swimming lessons yet. We haven't pushed through our plan in enrolling them to a swimming lesson last vacation because of our tight schedule and budget.

Once in a while, the boys are also running around the neighborhood with their Dad as their workout.

MOMMY MOMENTS - SUPER HERO

Every child has his own favorite super hero. Three years ago, MJ likes batman while JM likes Robin and as years passed by it changed to Spiderman, Iron Man and Green Lantern.  My boys adore the brave and chivalrous actions of their superheroes. Hence, it is still our duty as parents to help them understand the superhuman actions and activities of these heroes.

MOMMY MOMENTS - FAMILY TRIPS

Whenever there's an opportunity, we plan and prepare for family out of town trips on summer vacations. Traveling with kids is fun, it is a great way to introduce them to the world. It also gives them freedom to explore varying people and places. Traveling doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive, it’s the journey, experience, and learning that matters.

MOMMY MOMENTS - STORES

We normally hang out in the mall whenever there is something we need to buy or a movie to watch. Malls are convenient and complete place where you can find everything you need and have wide variety of stores and restaurants inside.

The stores that we frequently visit are grocery, bookstores, toy and apparel stores. We usually go to grocery store twice or thrice a month depending on how fast we consume food and toiletries. We regularly go to a bookstore when we're running out of school supplies for my kids. We passed by in a toy or apparel store to buy gifts or to hand a reward for my kids.

Here are some of our photos in mall stores:

MOMMY MOMENTS - RESTAURANTS

We as a family usually goes to casual dining during special occasions and gatherings. On the other hand, when we go out with the 3 kids, we often choose to eat in fast food chain restaurants because it is the most convenient place and the cheapest option. Even though my husband and I have our own favorite restaurants, we always have to compromise with them to satisfy our hunger and so everyone could enjoy the meal.

MOMMY MOMENTS - PARKS

My kids love going to the park. It is great to expose the children to national parks. Aside from it's historical background, they can freely play and run here which are the activities that they couldn't do at home because of a limited space.

MOMMY MOMENTS - HOME

We spend most of our family time at home. Since classes have started last month, the entire weekdays were spent studying the lessons and doing homeworks in school. Kids use their extra time playing, taking a nap and watching their favorite shows or movies.

Here are some of our photos in our favorite spots at home...

MOMMY MOMENTS - FATHER'S DAY 2011

Photobucket
We celebrated Father's Day in my Aunt's place last Sunday. This serves also as a family get-together and one of my dear Aunt's birthday blow-out. We had a successful celebration and we all made it despite of the stormy weather due to typhoon. We had so much fun... endless eating and chitchatting with everyone.

MOMMY MOMENTS - I AM DADDY!

Mommy moments theme for the whole month of June will be all about Daddies. I'm sharing today Daddy's photos with our newborn angels.

Taking care our first born child was tough. It was a new experience and a big adjustment for me and hubby. Our first born baby was awake at night and sleeping throughout the day. I am so lucky to have hubby around especially at those times when I needed to rest and have some sleep. He's a hands-on daddy helping me nursing our baby...

MOMMY MOMENTS - MOTHER'S DAY 2011

We actually made an effort to hear mass and dine out that day despite of bad weather due to the typhoon. The restaurant was full when we arrived so we waited for awhile until they set a table for us. My  MIL and BILs children were also with us. In the waiting area, I noticed that we're catching attention on some groups. We have 5 children with us aging from 2-8 and maybe they're thinking all these are our kids :)

MOMMY MOMENTS - HERE COMES THE BABY!

I have briefly narrated in one of my mommy moments entry my experiences in giving birth to my children. You can see it here.

And for today's theme, I'll speak about it in details :)

My eldest sister told me that when I'm into full term and experienced spotting, I will already be giving birth within that day. And based on my birth experiences...I can testify that is true because it actually happened to me. For me, this is the first sign. The second sign is regular contractions. Once the cervix has widened enough to allow passage of the baby's head, around 10 cm full dilation for a term baby.

All you have to do to in the delivery room is to listen and follow instructions from your doctor. You will just need to do some pushing as signaled by your doctor. For me, one to three pushes is enough to let the baby comes out.

With my eldest and youngest, as soon as they comes out, I was able to see and hear them crying out so loudly before I was sedated.

With my second one, I was in full dilation already as soon as I arrived to the hospital. My water broke at the hospital entrance and they pushes me in a wheelchair to delivery room. After that, the next thing I woke up I was already at the recovery room. I even didn't remember that I already gave birth, I remembered feeling my tummy and asking the nurse where I am :).

Giving birth is one of the the most amazing and fulfilling role of mothers. And before I end up this post let me share with you the latest photo of my three precious kids now...

MOMMY MOMENTS - PREGGY TALES

Oh well, we will be nostalgic in today's theme and tell tales about pregnancy.

Let me start with the tough part.....I had a difficult pregnancy on my first and last born child. The first trimester was the most draining for me. I experienced nausea and excessive vomiting or "hyperemesis gravidarum". I was even admitted to the hospital during my last pregnancy because of this syndrome. I also had constipation problems. I was so weak and very pale during that time. The following stages were still  hard but already manageable.

The second pregnancy is extremely the opposite one. It was so easy and I didn't feel any symptoms and discomforts except for that bumpy tummy :).

Each woman is different and so is each pregnancy. If you have been pregnant before, you might feel differently the next time. You may experience one or all of the pregnancy symptoms, and possibly none at all. The most important thing to remember is that if anything seems unusual, you can always contact your doctor to make sure all is well.

Below is my latest pregnancy photo. This was taken in Ocean Park, Manila while I was 7 months pregnant with my little girl...

MOMMY MOMENTS - BLACK AND WHITE

This is Kuya's First Communion photo last year. Boys are required to wear a white long sleeved polo, black pants, black necktie and black shoes...
Photobucket

He is very eager to attend a Sunday mass weekly. He is having a communion even he's alone. I hope he'll continue this trait even when he grows old.

MOMMY MOMENTS - SUMMER PLANS

We are planning to have another out of town swimming next weekend and this time it will be on the beach :). The kids are looking forward to that out of town already. I'm so excited as well to see my toddler on the sandy beach.

As part of our summer plan for my two boys, we enrolled them for a Basketball Efficiency Training in Milo Sports Clinic. This is a one-month program and has already started this week. Hubby is escorting and observing them in the Training Center.

MOMMY MOMENTS - WHITE

This is our last Mommy Moments color theme for the month. White signifies cleanliness, purity, softness and neutrality. White is my favorite shirt color because it is cool and comfortable to wear.

LINING UP TOYS

This is my toddler's favorite past time.....to line up things. She is a very neat and organized little girl. She lines up her toys or slippers in a row and in circular shape. She's also talking and singing them a song. It is so funny!
