NIGHT SWIMMING AND BUFFET DINNER

This is an overdue post :).

We went for a night swimming three weeks ago to celebrate my MILs birthday in a nearby resort across our house. Everyone agreed for a night swimming so we can make preparations for the event in morning. This is also to avoid sunburns in daytime and for a much cooler dip in the pool. The youngsters were happy to see each other again for a longer cousin bonding. The day after, we went for a buffet dinner in Solaire Fresh as hubby's treat for his mom. Since it is our first time, we stroll around the casinos for some picture taking :).

A GETAWAY TO HAYBOLS SCUBA HUB IN BATANGAS

We had a relaxing two days and one night sponsored trip in Batangas...a getaway from our hectic life in Manila. We stayed in Haybols Scuba Hub, a bed and breakfast inn that offers scuba diving services, open water swimming and rescue courses. It is an old bamboo house renovated and converted into a bed and breakfast guesthouse located in Mabini, Batangas.

As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by their friendly staffs and lead us to the main house. The entrance have a shoe rack where you can leave your shoes/slippers. Guests are required to remove footwear upon entering the house. The interior is a rustic country home...a traditional Filipino vacation house. The reception, dining and entertainment area have bamboo flooring. Windows are made of capiz wooden panels.

It has three modern rooms in the main house named as: Pating, Pawikan and Pagi. It is a carpeted air-conditioned room with two queen sized bed. Each room also has towels and bathrobes.

NIGHT SWIMMING ON FATHERS DAY

We've made the kids decide on where we're going to spend the Father's Day. Since they love swimming so much, they choose to do a night swimming in the nearby resort. I think they just want to be consistent in celebrating it the same way as Mother's Day :).

FAMILY SWIMMING

A planned swimming affair with my entire maternal family last Saturday :). It is everyone's last request to make the most of summer vacation before the school opens.

It is a family get-together and advance celebration of my niece’s college graduation. Everyone is awaiting for this event. The kids are excited as well and even doing countdowns as to how many days/sleep more before the event.

We reserved a private resort for the whole day affair. Food was on a potluck basis. Lechon was also present (yum!).

Here are some of our photos:

SWIMMING ON MOTHERs DAY

The five of us were really planning to go on a swimming to celebrate Mother's Day in a nearby resort within our Subdivision. It is a perfect timing when were invited by a Hubby's friend to his son's birthday celebration in nearby resort on the same date. The more...the merrier so we joined them :).

The weather is perfect for a swimming because there's no sun...lol! Seriously, it was cloudy and a sunburn free day :). And we love the weather, the swimming pool and the slides! (wink!)

OUR WATER SPA EXPERIENCE

Last Sunday, we went to Ace Water Spa for water massage. We normally go here for my two boys swimming lessons only and usually just stay at the coffee lounge. It is all our first time to have our water spa here.

The 2 free spa tickets were courtesy of BLSS due to my two boys first swimming lesson enrollment last summer. The other 3 were purchased at a discounted price in Metrodeal. I've enjoyed the soft to moderate water massage like bubble pool, bubble bed and rainfall acupuncture. Their hot herbal pools was relaxing and fragrant...there are 3 variants: mint, jasmine and lavender. Hubby preferred the hard massage facilities. The kids had fun also in some of the soft water massages, floor fountain and kids pool.

Picture taking is not allowed inside the spa area. Here are some of our photos in the reception area and coffee lounge:

REGULAR SWIMMING LESSON

My boys are regularly enrolled in swimming lesson. We choose a once in a week schedule so they could allot more time on their studies. Their Dad accompany them to the swimming venue every weekend. He's seriously keen on our boys training developments. He oftentimes discussing about the proper strokes and kicks. He constantly coaches them.

My boys consider swimming as an enjoyable activity. One of our reasons in enrolling them to a regular swimming lesson is its healthy beneficial effect for both of them. This also serves as their workout which helps them stay fit and disciplined.

BLSS SUMMER SWIMMING LESSON

We enrolled our boys in BLSS Kids' Summer Swimming Program to learn the basic skills of swimming. The swimming lesson started last week and has been regularly held at Ace Water Spa Indoor Pool.

Ace Water Spa is strictly not allowing non-swimmers in the swimming area. Picture taking inside the swimming area is also prohibited. They have a designated waiting area for parents and guardians at the 2nd floor. We were only taking pictures in the cafeteria in between its glass walls.

I'm impressed with their patience and how fast they learned the motions of swimming. MJ has a lot of potential in swimming. He was even chosen as one of the participants on the upcoming swimming competition next month. Good job, boys!

SUMMER HOLIDAY 2012

It is indeed more fun here in the Philippines! There's so many beautiful beaches and places to go most especially during summer.

We spent our lenten vacation in Pangasinan and enjoyed the nearby beach there in Binmaley. It is a public beach where you can enjoy swimming for free. You have to pay only for the cottages if you want to have a cozy place to stay while swimming. There is also shower fee and dressing room fee of â±£5 per person.

The beach was really nice. But I'd noticed some garbage not properly disposed of and were just thrown everywhere. The local government should seriously pay attention on this and must strictly implement cleanliness on the beach. Locals and the visitors should also be aware of their responsibilities as well and do our part to preserve the beach.

MJM IN BORACAY - PART2

DAY 1
We arrived in the hotel at past noon. We ate lunch after checking in. We enjoyed the beach and swimming pool an hour before sunset. The sand in Station 2 has a mixture of tiny cracked shells and stones. My little girl and I wore beach shoes as a protection while the boys managed to stay barefooted. At night, we dine in the buffet dinner set up in beach front. Ambiance was great but the food was not quite impressive.

MOMMY MOMENTS - SPORTS

My boys are into basketball, swimming and running :)...

Last summer, my two boys have completed their intro level in Milo's Basketball Efficiency Training. The coaches taught them really well because their skills in playing basketball have improved.

One of the activities that the boys enjoyed most during summer is swimming. Kuya learned how to swim on his own even though he does not have any formal swimming lessons yet. We haven't pushed through our plan in enrolling them to a swimming lesson last vacation because of our tight schedule and budget.

Once in a while, the boys are also running around the neighborhood with their Dad as their workout.

This is my 41st entry for

SUMMER FUN - PART 3

It is our 3rd swimming getaway and our last for the summer :). We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights in Dawal Beach Resort, Zambales. And we have experienced the comfort and leisure living there.

Day 1
We left the house before sunrise and arrived in Zambales almost noon. We ate lunch and then proceeded to the resort after. It was blazing hot so we stayed for hours in our rooms and rest for awhile. We spent the whole day swimming and eating in Dawal. We dipped in the pool late in the afternoon until night time. The kids had fun in the adult pool slides. The pool is open until midnight. I have a little complain though on the pool's water, it has too much chlorine and it's painful to open your eyes underwater without goggles.

SUMMER FUN - PART 2

We had another swimming last weekend and this was an unplanned one. We were actually reviewing for the last quarter exams on weekends...yes, everyone is already on a vacation and my kids are still hurdling for their exams. But since we're almost finished last Sunday, we decided to join the group at the nearby resort.

UNDERWATER SHOTS

I'm amazed by the gadgets nowadays. The new released versions are getting better and more desirable to own. With all of these, I have a heart for those cameras that can be used underwater. I am not a swimmer nor anyone in the family. I just want to take pictures and have photos under the water for thrilling and awesome experience.

During our celebration two weeks ago, we took the opportunity to have underwater shots in the pool. And here are some of our photos:
