HOLIDAY SEASON 2015

As I wake up on the first day of new year, I ponder on my life last 2015 and how to achieve my new goals for 2016. Looking back...We thank Our Good Lord for all the blessings we have received, memories kept and lessons learned from the past year. May the year 2016 be a wonderful and bright year to us all!

Here are some of our holiday season photos:

FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY 2014

It's the most wonderful time of the year and it's the happiest season of all as the song says. Christmas is the season of spreading good cheer, of spending time with your family and of sharing, caring and giving.

For us, Christmas is the best time for family reunion. This season, we held it in my Aunt's place in Malabon. My cousins organized the event. There are family and kids games, song and dance presentations, and of course our favorite part of the program...the raffle prizes :). Here are some of our photos:

LIGHTING THE ADVENT WREATH AT HOME: CHRISTMAS EVE

For weeks we’ve been lighting more and more candles on this wreath in preparation to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Tonight we light the final candle, for Jesus, the Light of the World, has come.

LIGHTING THE ADVENT WREATH AT HOME: FOURTH WEEK OF ADVENT

Tonight, we lighted the final purple candle as well as the three previously burned purple candles to mark the final week of prayer and penance as we wait expectantly for the birth of the King of Kings.

LIGHTING THE ADVENT WREATH AT HOME: THIRD WEEK OF ADVENT

The third week of advent is known as Joyful Sunday in Advent. It is represented by rose (or pink) instead of the penitential purple color.

Tonight, our eldest child is the one assigned to light the pink, as well as the two previously burned purple candles. He will be lighting these three candles the entire week.

LIGHTING THE ADVENT WREATH AT HOME: SECOND WEEK OF ADVENT

We lighted the first and second purple candles for the second Week of Advent last night before our evening meal. Our middle child was assigned to light the two purple candles this week.

LIGHTING THE ADVENT WREATH AT HOME: FIRST WEEK OF ADVENT

In this Advent season, our family decided to start a new tradition in our home. We will be lighting candles in an Advent Wreath daily. It is our way of spending time together in preparing for the approaching celebration of the birth of Christ.

Our Advent Wreath holds five candles: three purple, one rose (or pink) and one white. These will be lit, one at a time, on each of the four Weeks of the Advent season.

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

Being a predominantly Catholic nation, Christmas is the most awaited and celebrated holiday in the Philippines. Traditions abound as well in various parts of our country during this wonderful time of the year.

Our family's customary celebration includes attending mass and family feast on Christmas Eve...Visiting our family & friends and gift giving on Christmas Day.

MY LITTLE GIRLs CHRISTMAS PARTY

December is our busiest month. Parties, get together, gatherings and special occasions here and there. My little one is no exception of that.

She had her Christmas party last Thursday. The program starts with a prayer and the national anthem song which was led by her. She did well in her dance presentation. She also had a special part in one of the special numbers by her boys' classmates.

There was a repeat performance of her dance presentation in our Barangay's Christmas Party yesterday. She makes us proud by performing well in front of a large audience. She did great! :)

Here are some of her photos...

EARLY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

It's 87 days before Christmas and you can already feel the Holiday Season in most shopping malls. With the Christmas holidays coming closer, I have already started my early Christmas shopping. Sure, it's early, as I don't want to experience a last-minute panic buying hassle. I'm done buying clothes & shoes for my kids and I've also bought some gifts for my godchildren.

CHRISTMAS: A TIME FOR FAMILY REUNION

Christmas is the season of spreading good cheer, of spending time with your family and of sharing, caring and giving. We are indeed thankful for having been blessed with a good family and great kids.

Every Christmas, we take every opportunity to bond with our family and make the most of our relations with them. We spent most of the day in my hometown. There were a lot of activities prepared for the entire day. We had exchange gifts and made the afternoon lively with our selection of traditional parlor games.

CHRISTMAS IN MY HOMETOWN

Did you enjoy your Christmas celebrations with family, loved ones and friends?

We really had so much fun in celebrating Christmas with the whole family in my hometown. Aside from the gift giving distributed by those generous family members, we also had our yearly exchange gifts which are now divided into two parts. The first part is for the kids and the other one is for us. Everybody was happy in receiving their wish gifts. We hosted party games for both the kids and adults. Thank you so much for our special guests for sponsoring the major prizes and to all who contributed for the additional prizes.

Here's a glimpse of our Christmas photos:

MOMMY MOMENTS - A PERFECT CHRISTMAS

Tonight is already Christmas Eve. The celebration of nativity starts with a midnight mass on a Christmas Eve. A Noche Buena feast will follow after. There will be exchange greetings and gifts among family members. This is a simple way of celebrating Christmas and a perfect one for me and the rest of the family. Regardless of how grandiose your celebration will be as long as you spend it together with the whole family....that indeed, is a Perfect Christmas.

A holiday is about the time spent together with loved ones. It is about gifts that come from the heart, and it is about the thousands of years of tradition that mark the holiday season. During this season let us remember to be grateful for the gifts God.

CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS

My kids already started hanging their Christmas stockings on our door. They were so sure that Santa will drop by at our house as early as now for their Christmas gifts.

MOMMY MOMENTS - GIVE LOVE ON CHRISTMAS DAY

Christmas is not just merely giving gifts. The true meaning of Christmas is not seen by the eyes but felt by the heart.

Christmas originated from the great love of our Almighty Father to us. Because God so loved the world, He has given his only Son so that we may be saved and have eternal life. God loves us so much, by giving us Jesus Christ, whom is the Love of God.

From MJM Siblings Family to yours,
Let us follow this by giving the love back to everyone.
Merry Christmas!!!

OUR HECTIC WEEKEND

We have a busy schedule this past weekend. As part of our celebration, we stayed overnight in hotel. Though it's freezing cold in roofdeck, the kids still managed to dip in the pool. They also take a leisure on our room's bath tub even if the bubble bath soap is not sufficient enough for all of them.

On the next day, we proceed to the mall to do some christmas shopping. I just made a quick round to look for my two boys gifts in school. We brought our little girl to the playroom then, the four of us watched The Harry Potter movie in Imax.

MOMMY MOMENTS - LITTLE CHRISTMAS TREE

Photobucket
This little Christmas tree is our very first Christmas tree at home. We're using this plus the ornaments and lights for about 4 years now.

The Christmas tree is one of the most popular and cherished Christmas customs. It was the famous Christian reformer Martin Luther who started the Christmas tree tradition. The decorated evergreen has profound spiritual meaning...
