A GETAWAY TO HAYBOLS SCUBA HUB IN BATANGAS

We had a relaxing two days and one night sponsored trip in Batangas...a getaway from our hectic life in Manila. We stayed in Haybols Scuba Hub, a bed and breakfast inn that offers scuba diving services, open water swimming and rescue courses. It is an old bamboo house renovated and converted into a bed and breakfast guesthouse located in Mabini, Batangas.

As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by their friendly staffs and lead us to the main house. The entrance have a shoe rack where you can leave your shoes/slippers. Guests are required to remove footwear upon entering the house. The interior is a rustic country home...a traditional Filipino vacation house. The reception, dining and entertainment area have bamboo flooring. Windows are made of capiz wooden panels.

It has three modern rooms in the main house named as: Pating, Pawikan and Pagi. It is a carpeted air-conditioned room with two queen sized bed. Each room also has towels and bathrobes.

SUMMER OUTING IN BATAAN

We were very happy with our kids accomplishments in school. They have performed well so they really deserve an exciting out of town summer vacation.

The overall grades are very good and they were all in the top rank of their class. Little girl has a medal. She is the Spelling Contest Winner for Grade 1 Level. But sad to say, our outing coincides with our little girl's recognition date. The outing was actually set ahead before her school informed us on the recognition date.

It was supposed to be our first recognition but we don't want to cancel the outing. So we let the little girl choose where she want to go. And she chose the beach outing :). We will just get her medal on the school enrollment.

The two days and one night beach outing in Morong, Bataan consists of several families bonded as a get-together of Hubby's former co-workers. All kids are familiar already with each other because they have met several times already on the recent birthday party events. Their group were also inseparable :).

SWIMMING ON MOTHERs DAY

The five of us were really planning to go on a swimming to celebrate Mother's Day in a nearby resort within our Subdivision. It is a perfect timing when were invited by a Hubby's friend to his son's birthday celebration in nearby resort on the same date. The more...the merrier so we joined them :).

The weather is perfect for a swimming because there's no sun...lol! Seriously, it was cloudy and a sunburn free day :). And we love the weather, the swimming pool and the slides! (wink!)

Here are some of our photos:

FAMILY SUMMER FESTIVAL

The event's theme is "Fiesta" or "Festival". It was organized by my cousin and his family. And was held last Easter Sunday at their residence in Panghulo, Obando Bulacan.

Firstly, take a look at the photos of this very excited little girl as she jumps for joy while we're waiting for the others to arrive...

FAMILY SUMMER OUTING

We had our family outing last Saturday in a resort that is easily accessible from Manila. I'm glad that we were able to organize this outing because it's been awhile since we went out of town with the entire family.

My kids were so happy to see their cousins. This was an exciting event in the family because we had visited a friend's house and at the same time everyone had a great time beating the heat of the sun :).

SUMMER HOLIDAY 2012

It is indeed more fun here in the Philippines! There's so many beautiful beaches and places to go most especially during summer.

We spent our lenten vacation in Pangasinan and enjoyed the nearby beach there in Binmaley. It is a public beach where you can enjoy swimming for free. You have to pay only for the cottages if you want to have a cozy place to stay while swimming. There is also shower fee and dressing room fee of Ᵽ5 per person.

The beach was really nice. But I'd noticed some garbage not properly disposed of and were just thrown everywhere. The local government should seriously pay attention on this and must strictly implement cleanliness on the beach. Locals and the visitors should also be aware of their responsibilities as well and do our part to preserve the beach.

SUMMER FUN - PART 3

It is our 3rd swimming getaway and our last for the summer :). We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights in Dawal Beach Resort, Zambales. And we have experienced the comfort and leisure living there.

Day 1
We left the house before sunrise and arrived in Zambales almost noon. We ate lunch and then proceeded to the resort after. It was blazing hot so we stayed for hours in our rooms and rest for awhile. We spent the whole day swimming and eating in Dawal. We dipped in the pool late in the afternoon until night time. The kids had fun in the adult pool slides. The pool is open until midnight. I have a little complain though on the pool's water, it has too much chlorine and it's painful to open your eyes underwater without goggles.

MOMMY MOMENTS - SUMMER PLANS

We are planning to have another out of town swimming next weekend and this time it will be on the beach :). The kids are looking forward to that out of town already. I'm so excited as well to see my toddler on the sandy beach.

As part of our summer plan for my two boys, we enrolled them for a Basketball Efficiency Training in Milo Sports Clinic. This is a one-month program and has already started this week. Hubby is escorting and observing them in the Training Center.

MOMMY MOMENTS - CONGRATULATIONS!

Hoooraaay! Undergraduates last day of exam was finished yesterday and the classes had ended. Congratulations to my two students who will move up to the next grade level in June. Congratulations also for both being a top student in your respective classes. You deserve a break and a treat. We have summer plans for the two of you and hope we can pursue this on the succeeding weeks. Let's wait and see!

I would like to share this picture of Yaku I've captured last Feb. It was displayed on the grade school bulletin board along the hallway. This was about their "Larong Pinoy" club activities done in the school field grounds.

Sorry for the blurry images.

SUMMER FUN - PART 2

We had another swimming last weekend and this was an unplanned one. We were actually reviewing for the last quarter exams on weekends...yes, everyone is already on a vacation and my kids are still hurdling for their exams. But since we're almost finished last Sunday, we decided to join the group at the nearby resort.

SUMMER IS FUN...FUN...FUN!

SUMMER IN TAGAYTAY - April 10 & 11
Day 1
This was a planned vacation trip for 2 days with the family. We left Manila as early as 5am and arrived in Picnic Grove at past 7am. We take a pose for the pictures as soon as we got a cottage. The Taal Volcano was really breathtaking. We brought our food...ate our breakfast and lunch in the park. We tried the Zipline...it is an awesome experience! It was not as fast and exciting as it should be but we really enjoyed it. Kuya was a little nervous at first but he got used to it when already at the top. I love the climate in Tagaytay...the cool breeze of air and the sun shining brightly.

After lunch, we rested for awhile at the park then proceed to Tagaytay Country Club Hotel. We dipped in the pool at past 5pm and it was so cold. Little girl was even chilling after a few minutes of playing in the water. Kuya and Yaku was so brave to swam until night time. The place was colder during night.

Also on this day, I got a call from my cousin telling that my Lola passed away this afternoon. :(

It was 2 hours drive and we're already back in Manila. Then, I proceeded to my Lola's wake in Navotas and take a glimpse of her for the last time. I just hanged in there for an hour...say a little prayer for my Lola and chit chat with my aunts and cousins. I knew i couldn't be able to go with them at the burial because of my scheduled confinement in the hospital.

SUMMER IN PANGASINAN - April 14
It was only Hubby, Kuya & Yaku who went there. They explored the 100 or should I say 99 Islands in Alaminos, Pangasinan together with the rest of the relatives.
