HONGKONG TOUR (Day 6) - DEPARTURE

We wake up early in the morning and eat breakfast in the hostel to catch up our early flight back to Clark. Our Hongkong to Clark flight is 9:20am. We take the 5:30am bus from Tsim Tsa Tsui straight to the airport. This is the most convenient and economical way for us since we have enough time before the flight. We meet a group of Filipinos in the bus that will also take the same flight as ours and they're from Baguio City :).

We arrived early in the airport.  The check-in counter in Terminal 2 was still not accepting baggage so I eat my noodles while waiting for the counter to open :).

HONGKONG TOUR (Day 5) - DISNEYLAND

Our route is similar to yesterday...we ride MTR from Tsim Sha Tsui to Lai King. Then switched to “Orange” MTR Line to transport from Lai King and this time we stopped at Sunny Bay. Then, switched from Sunny Bay to Disneyland. The train going to Disneyland is specially made accustomed to the Disney Theme. We actually scheduled our trip on Monday thinking that the people will be lesser but we were surprised by the huge crowd swarmed in Disney Train. All couches are occupied so I'm standing until the train reaches Disneyland.

HONGKONG TOUR (Day 1) - ARRIVAL, MADAME TUSSAUDS & THE PEAK

Arrival in Hongkong
Our Clark to Hongkong flight is 7:20 am via Air Asia. We came in Clark just in time. We immediately checked in our baggage, pay terminal fees and travel taxes. Then, headed to the immigrations, wait for a few minutes and board in the plane :). We arrived in Hongkong earlier than the expected travel time. It was cloudy and rainy in Hongkong.

MOMMY MOMENTS - CONGRATULATIONS!

Hoooraaay! Undergraduates last day of exam was finished yesterday and the classes had ended. Congratulations to my two students who will move up to the next grade level in June. Congratulations also for both being a top student in your respective classes. You deserve a break and a treat. We have summer plans for the two of you and hope we can pursue this on the succeeding weeks. Let's wait and see!

I would like to share this picture of Yaku I've captured last Feb. It was displayed on the grade school bulletin board along the hallway. This was about their "Larong Pinoy" club activities done in the school field grounds.

Sorry for the blurry images.

SUMMER 2008

April 26-27, Tagaytay
Taal Lake and Taal Vista Hotel

April 5-7, Pangasinan
It's an unplanned vacation. We decided to go there almost late in the afternoon, packed our things and took the 9pm bus trip. We stayed in a hubby's cousin house. Go swimming, visit the Manaoag, go biking and picked fresh fruits from the trees.

It's a fun-filled summer vacation for all of us :).

SUMMER IS FUN

What kept us busy this summer?
Well, here are the few activities we enjoyed this season:

Swimming…Here in the Philippines, people are already used to its tropical climate. But the weather is much hotter during the summer season. That is why it’s nice to take a splash in the water whether it is in the swimming pool, beach or portable pool.
Every summer, I ensure that we go to a beach so the kids will have fun playing in the sand and enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery that surrounds them.

Sports Fest…
My other half was busy every weekend coordinating and scheduling basketball games in our Barangay. He is the appointed person for the Barangay 100 Sports Fest. One of his duties is to make sure that everything is okay from the paraphernalias up to packing of things until the end of the game.

Fiesta…
Summer is also a season for fiestas, a part of the typical Filipino culture.
We celebrated our Barangay Fiesta last May 6. There were parlor games for the children and even for the adults. There are lots of free ice cream and food served to everyone. At night, the stage was set for the Bingo and intermission numbers. Money prizes await the lucky winners.

Election…May 14 was declared as a non working holiday so Filipinos can exercise their freedom and the right to vote the deserving local leaders (6 Councilors, Congressman, Vice Mayor and Mayor) and 12 Senators.

Watching movie…
One of the blockbuster movies this summer is Spiderman 3. He is my sons’ favorite superhero ever. Gladly, we were able to watch the movie in the big screen. I like them to experience watching good movies in the cinema regardless how expensive it was.

Enrollment…As early as April, we were able to enroll Kuya in the big school. You need to spend one whole day in school to accomplish all the requirements and falling in line in the cashier, buying uniforms/patches/books, etc. The school will open by 2nd week of June.
