HOLIDAY SEASON 2015

As I wake up on the first day of new year, I ponder on my life last 2015 and how to achieve my new goals for 2016. Looking back...We thank Our Good Lord for all the blessings we have received, memories kept and lessons learned from the past year. May the year 2016 be a wonderful and bright year to us all!

Here are some of our holiday season photos:

NEW YEAR 2015 CELEBRATION

This is a late post :).

Actually, this is already posted on my Facebook Account and I'm just re-posting it here with captions and story :).

We welcome the New Year in our home. I'm so proud that I made all the cooking :). We just ordered our fave pizza as an addition to our feast as strongly requested by my minions :)).

Hubby has work until 11PM and we didn't know if he could make it before 12 midnight :(. So we were really anxiously waiting for him as soon as the new year countdown began :).

Here are our photos while waiting for Hubby at home...

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

Being a predominantly Catholic nation, Christmas is the most awaited and celebrated holiday in the Philippines. Traditions abound as well in various parts of our country during this wonderful time of the year.

Our family's customary celebration includes attending mass and family feast on Christmas Eve...Visiting our family & friends and gift giving on Christmas Day.

WELCOME 2011!

Hi Everyone! May the Year 2011 brings us more blessings and good fortune!

We have welcomed 2011 in our humble home. It was common for us to celebrate New Year with the family. We traditionally believe that anything round in shape is a good luck, because it symbolizes "coming full circle," or "completing a year's cycle".

Every New Year, we're collecting different kinds of round fruits of at least more than 12 fruits to complete and gives us abundance the entire year. Some of the New Year customs were also followed like putting coins on all our pockets and jumping at the struck of 12 midnight.

After offering a prayer and eating few desserts, we later moved in to my MILs house to join her in the Media Noche.

HOLIDAY SEASON 2009

Christmas - Reunion in Navotas
Hubby has a work and just followed us in Navotas later in the afternoon. I was relieved when he came because i'm already exhausted and little girl doesn't want to be with anybody else except me and hubby.

Our little girl was so sleepy at 12:20AM. It was just the boys who was able to go to my in-laws for a New Year's Dinner.

It was first time for the Ilumin clan to celebrate the new year altogether so we took this chance to enjoy our Post-Christmas party. As we welcome the year 2007, we thank the Lord for the past year’s blessings and pray that this coming year be more bountiful and promising. After we took the pleasure of the sumptuous feast, we exchanged Christmas presents and then let the kids play and light their mini fireworks outside.
