LIGHTING THE ADVENT WREATH AT HOME: FOURTH WEEK OF ADVENT

Tonight, we lighted the final purple candle as well as the three previously burned purple candles to mark the final week of prayer and penance as we wait expectantly for the birth of the King of Kings.

I’m the one assigned to light all four candles during the fourth Week of Advent.

The fourth Sunday/Week of Advent symbolizes Peace with the “Angel’s Candle” reminding us of the message of the angels: “Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Men.”
