COMPILING SCHOOL PAPERS

I'm compiling my boys' homeworks, seatworks and quizzes weekly. The main reason why I'm organizing these papers is to use as a basis for grade computation.

Last semester, there's one teacher that marked my son's homework as incomplete. As I checked through my files, all the homework was there and each have scores in red ink. If I haven't kept these papers, I probably just accepted the incomplete grade given by my son's teacher.

I have nothing against teachers. I have a high respect for them. I understand that it was only a clean mistake on his part. But it would be better for us parents to maintain a record of our own for future references.

That's a good tip for parents. I haven't thought about that actually... But do you throw those away after the school year? The files must be eating up some space in the house...

Teachers do have mental lapses as well, that's why doing what you do does help us parents keep track of our kids' progress. We can't depend solely on the teachers, I guess :)
